The Loch Aerie Mansion: Through the Eyes of A Bride

A year ago to the day I walked through the Loch Aerie Mansion for the very first time and the experience was completely overwhelming. I was on a modeling assignment for Chester County Life Magazine’s Bridal Edition. Immediately I was greeted at the door by a woman who’s contagious smile was enough to catch anyone off guard. My eyes scanned the room, and my jaw probably looked like it had completely detached from my face at this point.  Dana (owner of Loch Aerie Mansion) then proceeded to take me on an absolutely unforgettable tour. As we entered each room she beamed as she explained the restoration process that maintained the distinct character and historical integrity of the home.

Later in the day she introduced me to Elizabeth, owner of Vintage Betty Rentals. There was something different about this duo that enveloped me deep into our conversations as they talked with passion, love and adoration for all of the hidden gems the mansion possessed. For years I spent my time traveling from one wedding venue to the next, both as a model and marketing manager for a luxury bridal expo. Never had I encountered a venue quite like this one. Days after my visit I couldn’t stop talking to Scott about my experience. I gushed not only over how gorgeous, unique and beautiful it was, but about the two amazing women I met during my time there.

After getting engaged, Scott and I both decided to take a few weeks to enjoy our engagement before fully diving into planning the wedding. We had just started looking into destination wedding venues and I received a message on Facebook from Dana herself. She congratulated us on our engagement and invited us to see all of the updates they had made since my last visit, including the new 5,000 square foot ballroom. I knew I loved the venue, but would Scott? Would he be able to put the idea of a tropical destination wedding to rest? As we pulled up to the venue Scott’s eyes widened. He turned to me and said, “Wow, you weren’t kidding.” I knew once he saw the inside and met Dana and Elizabeth for himself there would be no question; we would have our wedding there. There’s a magical experience that is attached to committing to your wedding venue, even more so that you have people like Dana and Elizabeth on your side to make sure every detail is exactly as you envision it.

Having Dana and Elizabeth’s help during our wedding planning experience has been remarkable to say the least. We are so grateful to have their passion and excitement transcend through every part of planning our special day.
